Betsy Taylor is a freelance writer. She is also the editor of Health Progress, the journal of the Catholic Health Association of the United States. She previously was a reporter at several newspapers and at the Associated Press. She is a past president of the Compton Heights neighborhood association, past board member of the St. Louis Press Club, and has resided in the St. Louis region for more than two decades.
